Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate is used in horticulture to provide a water soluble source of Magnesium and Sulphur for plant nutrition to increase the magnesium or sulphur content in the soil. It is used as a raw material in the formulation of plant nutrition products, and also used as a direct fertilizer in agriculture to ensure the quick and effective fertilisation of plants.
Most commonly it is applied to potted plants or magnesium- hungry crops such as potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, lemons and roses. Magnesium sulphate is magnesium source for soil but it does not significantly change soil pH.
