Sodium nitrate NaNO3 is very soluble in water, nitrogen-rich and white in colour, it is classed within the ‘salt’ family. It is a source of the nitrate anion (NO3).
Used as a fertilizer for fruit and vegetable production, in horticulture and marine crops and as a material for solar panels.
As a solution, diluted at 40%, it is used mainly in the chemical and waste water treatment industry for treating septicity.
